Special Stage: | SS18 Alwen 1 (10.41 km) |
4. Esapekka Lappi (FIN) / Janne Ferm (FIN) - Citroen C3 WRC
It was a very fast downhill braking into a long slippy right tightens and I slide a bit wide and touch a bale but no drama.
42. Craig Breen (IRL) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
Quite OK. After making a mistake like that yesterday it's hard to be flat out again. It's nice to be able to see again.
7. Pontus Tidemand (SWE) / Ola Floene (NOR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It's good, for me the feeling is better than yesterday, more used ot the car. I'm looking forward to the next stage. Tricky conditions but it's fun.
33. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Scott Martin (GBR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
A bit of a moment on the last corner, there was a massive boulder as I turned in, I just glanced it - got away with it I think.
89. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Anders Jaeger (NOR) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
He was fast but we were on different tyre strategies let's see who is right on the end. I had a clean stage. We have one more extra gear so we'll switch it up and see what happens. I'm feeling confident.
5. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Sebastian Marshall (GBR) - Toyota Yaris WRC
It's difficult with the small gaps we've had all rally. It's going to be difficult in 30km but he's not going to beasy to catch. A very narrow stage but it's OK.
1. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Citroen C3 WRC
I try to finish the rally.
11. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
I have to try. Good compared to Seb but Ott will be fast. Let's see. We are 11 seconds behind but we'll try.
8. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Toyota Yaris WRC
The car is great to drive. I have a really good balance and just enjoying it. I have really clean lines, a good stage.
21. Kalle Rovanperä (FIN) / Jonne Halttunen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo
Quite nice, I like these stages a lot but in these situations you can't enjoy them so much as you can't push. I think it's going to be a nice day.
24. Jan Kopecky (CZE) / Pavel Dresler (CZE) - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo
It feels good. We need some experience.
23. Gus Greensmith (GBR) / Elliott Edmondson (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5 Mkii
It's fine. We had some weird things where calibrations had been changed at the beginning of the stage so for the first quater of the stage I was changing the calibrations back to where they should be so we lost quite a lot of time with that but OK.
25. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / John Kennard (NZL) - Ford Fiesta R5 Mkii
We've made some more changes overnight so certainly in the right direction again. It's a good step but just got to kep working. The R5 has taken longer to adapt to than I thought but as each stage goes on I certainly get used to it.
22. Mads Ostberg (NOR) / Torstein Eriksen (NOR) - Citroen C3 R5
It's quite OK. It doesn't feel like we have any issues so trying to keep it clean.
55. Petter Solberg (NOR) / Phil Mills (GBR) - Volkswagen Polo R5
It was very slippy so it's very tricky. I keep my consistant pace and nothing more than that so I'm happy with my run.
94. Tom Cave (GBR) / Dale Furniss (GBR) - Hyundai NG i20 R5
Very good. A good stage.
43. Pierre-Louis Loubet (FRA) / Vincent Landais (FRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
I don't think I did something good so we'll see.
92. Takamoto Katsuta (JPN) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5 Mkii
It wasn't so bad compared to what I expected. It's OK just a little bit narrow so a bit tricky.
53. Adrien Fourmaux (FRA) / Renaud Jamoul (BEL) - Ford Fiesta R5
I think this stage we have a good pace, we'll see. We have to keep out place, let's see. This morning it's quite nice. The finish line is not so far!
72. Jan Solans (ESP) / Mauro Barreiro (ESP) - Ford Fiesta R2
Getting to the finish line, that's everything. This is our job today.
71. Tom Kristensson (SWE) / Henrik Appelskog (SWE) - Ford Fiesta R2
It's OK, we are here!
77. Sean Johnston (USA) / Alex Kihurani (USA) - Ford Fiesta R2
Loving it! Beautiful, beautiful morning. I just love it, driving down these stages, the sunrisr in the background. It's fantastic. I love this sport! A good morning, a good first stage. Found the rhythm. Not pushing, taking care of the car. Taking care of my mind.
78. Fabrizio Zaldivar (PRY) / Fernando Mussano (ARG) - Ford Fiesta R2
It was quite OK. a little bit slippery. It was OK, it was fun.
76. Enrico Oldrati (ITA) / Elia De Guio (ITA) - Ford Fiesta R2
[Bonnet up over flying finish] We will fix it and let's see for the next run.
80. Ryan Booth (USA) / Rhianon Gelsomino (AUS) - Ford Fiesta R2
We had a couple of moments, it was really slick in there. Pretty good, pretty fast.
81. Keanna Erickson-Chang (USA) / Niall Burns (IRL) - Ford Fiesta R2
A little slippy in some spots but a good run through there.
75. Tom Williams (GBR) / Phil Hall (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
It was OK. The car is still twitchy but much happier today. We had a roll yesterday. We just have to push hard today and get our confidence back.
73. Dennis Rädström (SWE) / Johan Johansson (SWE) - Ford Fiesta R2
Quite slippery. More slippery than yesterday but OK we're on it.
74. Roland Poom (EST) / Ken Jarveoja (EST) - Ford Fiesta R2
It's OK. Good stage, good fun. Grip is good and I'm happy.
47. Fabio Andolfi (ITA) / Simone Scattolin (ITA) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's good but I don't push.
46. Alberto Heller (CHL) / Jose Diaz (ARG) - Ford Fiesta R5 Mkii
Good. First time in that stage was not so bad. We try to drive it smooth and clean.
41. Benito Guerra (MEX) / Jaime Zapata (MEX) - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo
It's difficult. Yesterday watching the videos it looks not so bad but it's difficult, so easy to make a mistake. I think the time is not so bad but we need to push.
51. Rhys Yates (GBR) / James Morgan (GBR) - Hyundai NG i20 R5
All fixed and just some fun today. I enjoyed that one. Took too much speed off in some places but overall a decent run.
56. Guillaume De Mevius (BEL) / Martijn Wydaeghe (BEL) - Citroen C3 R5
Very different but it's good. We enjoy but the time is not so good.
44. Ole Christian Veiby (NOR) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Volkswagen Polo R5
It was quite OK. I missed the braking on one junction and lost some time there. I try to push as much as we can.
45. Kajetan Kajetanowicz (POL) / Maciej Szczepaniak (POL) - Volkswagen Polo R5
We have a new gearbox and it's hard to drive as it's my first time with this gearbox. It's a longer gearbox and every gear is different. it's hard to find.
93. Matt Edwards (GBR) / Mark Glennerster (GBR) - Hyundai NG i20 R5
OK, we've tried a few little things on the car this morning to get an understanding of how it works. We had some good times yesterday so making some good progress with the car. If it's more suited to me then that will be a good day.
54. Oliver Solberg (NOR) / Aaron Johnston (GBR) - Volkswagen Polo R5
Good, good. On one corner I was too cautious, I don't know why. Otherwise the stage was OK and tricky.
50. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Gabriel Morales (BRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
Slippery, the first pass for us. We are always a bit more careful as maybe the pacenots are not perfect and one mistake here can finish the rally and it was not easy to arrive on Sunday in one piece so we would like to be on the ramp in a few hours. So we take care a little bit more on the first pass.
102. Josh Cornwell (GBR) / Dai Roberts (GBR) - Peugeot 208 R2
Not too bad for a stage in the morning. It's very fast and slippy in places but we've just got to get through today.
97. Eamonn Boland (IRL) / MJ (IRL) - Ford Fiesta R5
It was very smooth and in the dips there was a little bit of soft mud.
103. Diego Dominguez (PRY) / Rogelio Lopez (ESP) - Ford Fiesta R2
Very nice, very good.
96. Patrick Dejean (FRA) / Lionel Currat (FRA) - Ford Fiesta R5
It's slippy, very, very slippy. It's OK, we got to the finish line so we try to have fun and finish the race in good condition.
100. Ruairi Bell (GBR) / Darren Garrod (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
It was quite nice after missing so much yesterday. Happy now so let's keep on going and see what we can do.
104. Edward Lewis (GBR) / Dominic Adams (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
Good, pretty slippy in places. We hit the front right in there but don't think there is any damage. Just on the inside of a right-hander.
105. Louise Cook (GBR) / Stefan Davis (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
More grip than I was expecting. The notes were not good on that stage so I lost a bit of confidence but it was alright.
