STAGE FLASH

Date:05/10/2019
Section:3
Special Stage:SS14 Myherin 2 (22.91 km)

4. Esapekka Lappi (FIN) / Janne Ferm (FIN) - Citroen C3 WRC
I think everyone will be slower, it's more slippery, more polished. I tried to search for grip outside of the lines to find some bite. A lot of understeer and sliding.

7. Pontus Tidemand (SWE) / Ola Floene (NOR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
There was a big difference from the first lap, I struggled to find the rhythm, just need to keep going.

33. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Scott Martin (GBR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It's changed quite a lot, pretty slippery out there now. Difficult to say if it was a good run or not. In some places I was being a bit careful, in others I was sliding a lot. It's difficult to find the right balance.

3. Teemu Suninen (FIN) / Jarmo Lehtinen (FIN) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It's just the mental effects from the earlier accident. The car is fine so it's OK to push.

42. Craig Breen (IRL) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
I can see the outline in the road but I can't read the grip. I'm trying to listen to the notes but I get mud on the screen and I can't clear it away. Disaster.

89. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Anders Jaeger (NOR) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
We had a good stage, small mistakes here and there. It's much slower than the first loop. It's more equal now but we'll continue to fight.

11. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
I had a good stage but again I got caught out of the line in the beginning of the stage a bit, tyres may have been a bit cold. Lost a one or two seconds there but other than that I had a perfect stage.

5. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Sebastian Marshall (GBR) - Toyota Yaris WRC
It's only a few tenths but I couldn't have done much more. I think the times are going to be very close. Yes.

1. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Citroen C3 WRC
It was good, we are pushing as hard as we can.

8. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Toyota Yaris WRC
I really try to do well. I was understeering, especially at the beginning for the stage. I understeer a lot and try to find confidence. I don't know.

24. Jan Kopecky (CZE) / Pavel Dresler (CZE) - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo
I think it was a bit more slippy on some places especially. I think there is solid rock under the top layer.

21. Kalle Rovanperä (FIN) / Jonne Halttunen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo
For me it was quite OK with the soft tyre. Now the conditions are dry I think the car is way too soft, so it's quite difficult to drive, but it's ok.

25. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / John Kennard (NZL) - Ford Fiesta R5 Mkii
It's polished off, a bit more slippery in places. We keeping finding out things and learning about the car. Just trying to find our feet and get a feeling with the car.

43. Pierre-louis Loubet (FRA) / Vincent Landais (FRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
Our best is not perfect but it's OK, some work to do but it's OK.

91. Nikolay Gryazin (RUS) / Yaroslav Fedorov (RUS) - Skoda Fabia R5
Not so good!

55. Petter Solberg (NOR) / Phil Mills (GBR) - Volkswagen Polo R5
It's worse now! It's much more slippy and I've medium tyres on which is not the best. It's very tough, but we had a clean run which is the main thing.

94. Tom Cave (GBR) / Dale Furniss (GBR) - Hyundai NG i20 R5
Struggled this one, the car's fine.

53. Adrien Fourmaux (FRA) / Renaud Jamoul (BEL) - Ford Fiesta R5
It's completely different now.

44. Ole Christian Veiby (NOR) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Volkswagen Polo R5
It's not easy, I feel the car is getting heavier through the stage with the mud, it feels like you're losing more and more power during the stage, it's a bit annoying when you have to push the engine.

93. Matt Edwards (GBR) / Mark Glennerster (GBR) - Hyundai NG i20 R5
We've put new tyres on with a slightly harder compound.

92. Takamoto Katsuta (JPN) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5 Mkii
A bit more slippery than the first pass and more sideways. It was fun but not so nice.Very enjoyable.

46. Alberto Heller (CHL) / Jose Diaz (ARG) - Ford Fiesta R5 Mkii
Better, but I think the tyre [medium] was not right.

47. Fabio Andolfi (ITA) / Simone Scattolin (ITA) - Skoda Fabia R5
I am driving the same in the stage but there are different conditions.

41. Benito Guerra (MEX) / Jaime Zapata (MEX) - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo
In the first part the car was moving a lot and I don't understand what's going on.

51. Rhys Yates (GBR) / James Morgan (GBR) - Hyundai NG i20 R5
It's a lot more slippery than this morning because it's polished but I enjoyed it.

45. Kajetan Kajetanowicz (POL) / Maciej Szczepaniak (POL) - Volkswagen Polo R5
We don't know what's wrong [car is not running].

72. Jan Solans (ESP) / Mauro Barreiro (ESP) - Ford Fiesta R2
Very good, we're in the lead.

71. Tom Kristensson (SWE) / Henrik Appelskog (SWE) - Ford Fiesta R2
It's going well after the puncture. we'll try some different stuff and see what we can do.

56. Guillaume De Mevius (BEL) / Martijn Wydaeghe (BEL) - Citroen C3 R5
It's going well we are, for sure, a bit slow because we don't want a puncture again!

73. Dennis Rädström (SWE) / Johan Johansson (SWE) - Ford Fiesta R2
Much cleaner now so that's how we need to do it. Very enjoyable.

74. Roland Poom (EST) / Ken Jarveoja (EST) - Ford Fiesta R2
It was not as good as it was previously. It was better without the rain and polished surface. Stages in some places are very rough and we have to keep the car in one piece.

50. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Gabriel Morales (BRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
It was better because it was the same fantastic special stage and wow! It's so nice and fast, its slippery. We enjoy a lot. Sweet Lamb for me is THE special stage. It's different, its another level of thing, it's not for me the most enjoyable or best special stage in Wales, for me its the best in the whole universe! I don't know why but I have some special feeling with Sweet Lamb, it's fantastic nice!

77. Sean Johnston (USA) / Alex Kihurani (USA) - Ford Fiesta R2
More and more commitment, better rhythm, really really enjoyable. In comparison to yesterday where the stage was absolutely destroyed on the second pass it was actually quite nice, enjoyable.

78. Fabrizio Zaldivar (PRY) / Fernando Mussano (ARG) - Ford Fiesta R2
It was a bit more tricky, a bit more slippery but very good.

102. Josh Cornwell (GBR) / Dai Roberts (GBR) - Peugeot 208 R2
It's getting a bit rough out there now, definitlely got a sweat on now.

76. Enrico Oldrati (ITA) / Elia De Guio (ITA) - Ford Fiesta R2
It was a good run but the time is not so good. I don't know why. I am thinking about the next stage now, let's do it.

80. Ryan Booth (USA) / Rhianon Gelsomino (AUS) - Ford Fiesta R2
It's going well, just trying to feel through the conditions. See how it goes.

103. Diego Dominguez (PRY) / Rogelio Lopez (ESP) - Ford Fiesta R2
Better feeling. Second half I started to become more comfortable in the car on the surface so started to push a little more.

104. Edward Lewis (GBR) / Dominic Adams (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
Another tough one, a bit cautious.

105. Louise Cook (GBR) / Stefan Davis (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
There's a puncture on the front right. It's nice to be driving.

81. Keanna Erickson-Chang (USA) / Niall Burns (IRL) - Ford Fiesta R2
A bit damp but changes we made on the first pass paid off.
