STAGE FLASH

Date:05/10/2018
Section:2
Special Stage:SS2 Clocaenog 1 (7.67 km)
Weather:Dry, cloudy
Road Conditions:Damp and slippery

5. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
Very, very slippy. It's really difficult to judge the grip. We have to work a little on the settings of the car but generally I try to adapt myself and make a clean stage. Soft tyres.

8. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Toyota Yaris WRC
A clean run, a good run. The road is changing a lot. The part we used yesterday is slippery, even more than yesterday. At the moment I'm on soft tyres but I can put on mixed.

1. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It's very close so I don't think it's a bad start. It's pretty slippery in there but we'll see what happens on the next big stage. Most of the other drivers on soft except for my team mates.

9. Esapekka Lappi (FIN) / Janne Ferm (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
Not a good start. I don't say anything.

7. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
There was one junction which was more slippery than I expected. I understeered a bit as I couldn't get the turn in so I lost a bit of speed.

4. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Anders Jaeger (NOR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
It was OK. I made two or three mistakes. It was very slippery, I was suprised in many places. We were pushing quite hard but it looks like everyone was doing that.

3. Teemu Suninen (FIN) / Mikko Markkula (FIN) - Ford Fiesta WRC
I missed one junction and lost lots of time and then lost the rhythm.

2. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
Massively changeable grip in places. The bits we used yesterday were pretty bad but all OK.

6. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / Sebastian Marshall (GBR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
The part used on the shakedown stage yesterday was really slippery, some corners could catch you out.

10. Mads Ostberg (NOR) / Torstein Eriksen (NOR) - Citroen C3 WRC
It's a good stage. It was quite slippery and a few surprises. We had a good push and the time is quite good so I'm pleased with that.

11. Craig Breen (IRL) / Scott Martin (GBR) - Citroen C3 WRC
Really really tricky and slippery in places. Have to be careful not to get caught out.

31. Pontus Tidemand (SWE) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Skoda Fabia R5
We were a bit careful but not too bad for first stage.

32. Gus Greensmith (GBR) / Alex Gelsomino (USA) - Ford Fiesta R5
It's the last rally this season, third in the championship so lets go for it. Have to be sensible for the championship but I want to leave nothing on the table.

33. Lukasz Pieniazek (POL) / Przemyslaw Mazur (POL) - Skoda Fabia R5
Slipy, lost the line and lost a few seconds.

34. Fabio Andolfi (ITA) / Simone Scattolin (ITA) - Skoda Fabia R5
Slippery offline. But I'm happy, it's not easy at all.

35. Ole Christian Veiby (NOR) / Stig Rune Skjaermoen (NOR) - Skoda Fabia R5
It was quite OK, just getting used to the car now.

36. Kalle Rovanperä (FIN) / Jonne Halttunen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia R5
Good time, made some changes last night which were good.

37. Jari Huttunen (FIN) / Antti Linnaketo (FIN) - Hyundai i20 R5
Smooth but slippery, I think I made a few mistakes.

40. Stéphane Lefebvre (FRA) / Gabin Moreau (FRA) - Citroen C3 R5
Quite good. I'm confident but it's not perfect.

43. Eric Camilli (FRA) / Benjamin Veillas (FRA) - Ford Fiesta R5
That was OK. It was average, I pushed but I can't push any more.

38. Pierre-Louis Loubet (FRA) / Vincent Landais (FRA) - Hyundai i20 R5
Not too bad, we'll make the car a little softer for the next run.

39. Nil Solans (ESP) / Marc Marti (ESP) - Ford Fiesta R5
I don't know, I got a puncture near the start, I don't know how.

42. Simone Tempestini (ROU) / Itu Sergiu (ROU) - Citroen C3 R5
Not so good, but it was OK.

44. Chris Ingram (GBR) / Ross Whittock (GBR) - Skoda Fabia R5
Really slippery, better than I expected. I'll keep pushing like this.

41. Marco Bulacia Wilkinson (BOL) / Fabian Cretu (ARG) - Skoda Fabia R5
We had a spin

61. Taisko Lario (FIN) / Tatu Hatamalainen (FIN) - Peugeot 208 R2
It was good. I'm not pushing, I will try on the next one.

64. Tom Williams (GBR) / Phil Hall (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
That was one to wake you up. Very slippy but it was OK.

63. Louise Cook (GBR) / Stefan Davis (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
That was OK. Getting the feel now, a bit slippy though.

62. Enrico Brazzoli (ITA) / Luca Beltrame (ITA) - Peugeot 208 R2
It's OK, better than yesterday. It's a good Welsh rally.

89. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Gabriel Morales (BRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
Slippery and lots of fun. I've missed this rally so much!

81. Matt Edwards (GBR) / Darren Garrod (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
It's fine, I've got a different job to the other boys. I'm happy though.

82. David Bogie (GBR) / John Rowan (IRL) - Skoda Fabia R5
A consistant grip. Not easy but a good time in there.

83. Rhys Yates (GBR) / Elliott Edmondson (GBR) - Skoda Fabia R5
Small spin. A bit disappointed but hey ho.

84. Tom Cave (GBR) / James Morgan (GBR) - Hyundai i20 R5
It's OK, very slippery. I'm happy with the time though.

85. Gaurav Gill (IND) / Glenn Macneall (AUS) - Ford Fiesta R5
I'm just getting used to the new tyres. I'm quite surprised but it's OK.

86. Alex Laffey (GBR) / Patrick Walsh (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
A few tricky bits but enjoyable.

87. Eamonn Boland (IRL) / Mj Morrissey (IRL) - Ford Fiesta R5
Not to bad. Very slippy though.

91. Jean-Baptiste Franceschi (FRA) / Romain Courbon (FRA) - Ford Fiesta R2
Good first time in the conditions, just getting used to it.

92. Steve Rokland (NOR) / Dai Roberts (GBR) - Peugeot 208 R2
Very slippy. Apart from that it's all good.

93. James Williams (GBR) / Tom Woodburn (GBR) - Opel Adam R2
Enjoyed that. A bit tight on the road section but it's OK.
