STAGE FLASH

Date:06/10/2018
Section:3
Special Stage:SS18 Gartheiniog 2 (11.26 km)

4. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Anders Jaeger (NOR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
It's been a really good day I have to say. Much better than yesterday, it is going in the right direction. Let's see what we can do tomorrow

10. Mads Ostberg (NOR) / Torstein Eriksen (NOR) - Citroen C3 WRC
It's not so bad. My time is horrible. There is nothing we can do at the moment. the car was working OK this morning. We didn't have the tools to make things better.

6. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / Sebastian Marshall (GBR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
We stalled on the start line and lost a few seconds there.

11. Craig Breen (IRL) / Scott Martin (GBR) - Citroen C3 WRC
I'm happy. I didn't want to make a mistake.

1. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Ford Fiesta WRC
I don't know, Craig is doing good times just ahead of me. Honestly, I'm flat out, I think the car doesn't suit these stages. I'm giving it everything I can and I'll do the same tomorrow.

7. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
I stalled in the hairpin. The sun was coming really really bad with in my eyes. I didn't see how bad the ruts were , I was in second gear and we stalled. We lost two to three seconds but it's not over yet. It was a mistake but it is a long day tomorrow.

5. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
We have seen on previous years that the road is getting more slippy with standing water. I can only compare to the other guys around me. Maybe things will happen tomorrow. I made a mistake today and we'll see what happens tomorrow.

2. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It's been a long day. After losing position to fight for anything yesterday, it's been a case of getting through and being here now. Looking forward to tomrrow.

36. Kalle Rovanperä (FIN) / Jonne Halttunen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia R5
Today is looking really good. I really enjoyed this second loop as the driving was much better. I'm pretty happy. I made some mistakes on some hairpins and lost some time but that's OK. I think we will go on the safee side tomorrow and see how we are doing.

31. Pontus Tidemand (SWE) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's a very nice stage. I like this stage. I push a bit.

32. Gus Greensmith (GBR) / Alex Gelsomino (USA) - Ford Fiesta R5
The morning was a little bit disappointing. Ijust had a high speed spin in stage 12 this morning which cost us 20-25 seconds. With the gap being so close we've been separated by a couple of seconds all day and I can't get it back. It's not been too bad.

84. Tom Cave (GBR) / James Morgan (GBR) - Hyundai i20 R5
I worked hard for it. It's been a good day, a bit frustrated as we made a mistake but you have to push as in WRC2 these guys are fast.

82. David Bogie (GBR) / John Rowan (IRL) - Skoda Fabia R5
End of a long day. Just the drying conditions, no-one could see it coming. On the previous stage we went wide and hit a rock, bent something in the steering but anyway we've got time now to fix it. See what tomorrow brings.

40. Stéphane Lefebvre (FRA) / Gabin Moreau (FRA) - Citroen C3 R5
A tricky day. We had a puncture this morning and we broke a damper this afternoon. It's very beautiful and when it's dry like that you can take lots of pleasure but without a damper it's difficult to take 100 percent approach.

37. Jari Huttunen (FIN) / Antti Linnaketo (FIN) - Hyundai i20 R5
[Rear left puncture] It was about four kilometers before the finish.

43. Eric Camilli (FRA) / Benjamin Veillas (FRA) - Ford Fiesta R5
We had a puncture again, the fourth time today.

38. Pierre-Louis Loubet (FRA) / Vincent Landais (FRA) - Hyundai i20 R5
We enjoyed it.

33. Lukasz Pieniazek (POL) / Przemyslaw Mazur (POL) - Skoda Fabia R5
We are too slow today so I hope tomorrow will be a better day. I hope my driving will be better tomorrow.

41. Marco Bulacia Wilkinson (BOL) / Fabian Cretu (ARG) - Skoda Fabia R5
We are having trouble with the brakes. We lost a lot of time.

42. Simone Tempestini (ROU) / Itu Sergiu (ROU) - Citroen C3 R5
It's OK. We are enjoying the stages. Not so nice to see the times at the end of the stage.

44. Chris Ingram (GBR) / Ross Whittock (GBR) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's been the most difficult Rally GB I've ever done. It started off OK but then we slid off into a ditch yesterday but I just need to get the kilometers and bring the car home to see all my sponsors later on.

85. Gaurav Gill (IND) / Glenn Macneall (AUS) - Ford Fiesta R5
Not too bad today. This is completely developmental stuff for us but I hope to be on the front soon.

34. Fabio Andolfi (ITA) / Simone Scattolin (ITA) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's been a long day. We are happy, we've not had any problems. I'm disappointed we lost five minutes yesterday but we will not give up.

81. Matt Edwards (GBR) / Darren Garrod (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
I just ran wide on a left hander at the top of the hill there. I think there must have been something in the grass. We struggled all afternoon with the tyres going off again.

89. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Gabriel Morales (BRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
A long, long day. My navigator told me that maybe it's the longest day that he ever did in his career. This is the WRC. The first WRC that I have entered and Wales has this characteristic. Normally the Saturday is a long, long day and it was so much fun. We are really, really satisfied with the car, the tyres. Our driving of course can improve a lot but we are having fun, this is the most important thing.

87. Eamonn Boland (IRL) / Mj Morrissey (IRL) - Ford Fiesta R5
It was perfect, no problem.

64. Tom Williams (GBR) / Phil Hall (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
We lost two minutes and the lead earlier. The last two stages have been flat out. We need to find another 10 seconds tomorrow for the lead.

93. James Williams (GBR) / Tom Woodburn (GBR) - Opel Adam R2
Tricky as we thought we had an engine oil leak on the last stage so we were slow on this stage but we're going to keep on trying.

92. Steve Rokland (NOR) / Dai Roberts (GBR) - Peugeot 208 R2
We have been controlling it all day. We will see what happens tomorrow.

62. Enrico Brazzoli (ITA) / Luca Beltrame (ITA) - Peugeot 208 R2
Second position in class is good.

95. Tony Jardine (GBR) / Tom Cary (GBR) - Mitsubishi Evolution IX GT
Fabulous day but we've had two punctures. It's the ups and downs of sport. We had to stop and change one in Sweet Lamb and we had one earlier in the day too.

91. Jean-Baptiste Franceschi (FRA) / Romain Courbon (FRA) - Ford Fiesta R2
It was a good day for us. We had some mud in the morning but dry this afternoon. Perfect to learn.

63. Louise Cook (GBR) / Stefan Davis (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
Mixed day really, good and bad but we're here at the end of the day. I think tomrrow might be a bit of a boring day when you are just settling but we'll see how it goes.

61. Taisko Lario (FIN) / Tatu Hatamalainen (FIN) - Peugeot 208 R2
We had a wheel bearing problem on the last stages, so back to service now. Maximum attack tomorrow.

97. John Morrison (GBR) / Peter Carstairs (GBR) - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX
Its been a really tricky day but we are here. We enjoyed the last loop. All to play for tomorrow.

108. Jonathan Mulholland (GBR) / Jeff Case (IRL) - Ford Fiesta R2
It's been a very big day, happy to be at the end of it to be honest. Everything has been perfect today.

104. Alex Waterman (GBR) / Harry Thomas (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2T
Excellent day. Far better than yesterday. Trouble free and the stages have been incredible. We're both utterly thrilled.

102. Spencer Wilkinson (GBR) / Glyn Thomas (GBR) - Subaru Impreza WRX STi
Enjoyed that today. The whole day has been good today. That's probably the best day on this rally that I've ever experienced. In my limited experience!

111. Neil Andrew (GBR) / Dominic Adams (GBR) - Subaru Impreza
It's been a lot better than yesterday. We had a bad day yesterday. We're still learning the car, its a great car though. Really enjoying it now, see how tomorrow goes. Great stages today.

106. Saleh Hijazi (GBR) / Stephen Landen (GBR) - MG ZR
Brilliant, we've enjoyed it - love it. It was really nice. The last two stages were just beautiful It was good for us as we were just struggling, losing power in the mud and everything else. Hopefully we'll be in tomorrow.

96. Kevin Horgan (IRL) / Liam Fouhy (IRL) - Skoda Fabia R2
A long day, I'm happy enough. Our pace is increasing we just have to mind ourselves.
