STAGE FLASH

Date:06/10/2018
Section:3
Special Stage:SS11 Sweet Lamb Hafren 1 (19.95 km)

4. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Anders Jaeger (NOR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
It was a little bit more tricky in this one but we had a clean run. We made some changes to the car and had a little less understeer. We'll keep on going.

10. Mads Ostberg (NOR) / Torstein Eriksen (NOR) - Citroen C3 WRC
That's good. It's feeling much better. I think small changes to the car as we are running with different temperatures I've never used before. The feeling was a little better. I had some really bad noise from my rear diff on the last part of the stage so I slowed down a bit but it doesn't feel like it's affected the car

6. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / Sebastian Marshall (GBR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
Very, very muddy. The medium tyre doesn't work so well on this stage but no other problems.

11. Craig Breen (IRL) / Scott Martin (GBR) - Citroen C3 WRC
It's a bit tricky but I'm having a relatively good run. I had an overshoot in the Sweet Lamb section and lost some time there but apart from that it's OK.

1. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It's a bit more slippy. Sweet Lamb is difficult. I don't know hopefully the guys behind are not that fast. I think it's getting more slippery after each car. It's good to be in the front. Craig is doing a good time also. I was not managing to be on the limit in there. It's tricky.

9. Esapekka Lappi (FIN) / Janne Ferm (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
That was a bad time. I had a really clean run, it seems it's not enough. To lose ten seconds, not good.

7. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
If you are the first car on the road here you have amazing grip. The road is in the situation now that the best grip was the first or second car on the road.

5. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
At one point it has to come, when you're driving on the edge from the start of the year. It is my first mistake where I was stuck somewhere since Monte Carlo. The car is good.

8. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Toyota Yaris WRC
Hard to say, it feels so difficult for the engine. It feels tough but okay, very clean run.

2. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It was really difficult in there. Really struggled to get any grip at all. We'll have to wait and see what we can do.

36. Kalle Rovanperä (FIN) / Jonne Halttunen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia R5
Quite OK. I made one mistake on a junction and lost some time there. Otherwise it was OK. Too careful but OK.

31. Pontus Tidemand (SWE) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Skoda Fabia R5
Its a little bit tricky but I like it. No problems. Struggled a bit with the grip in the front so we will see what we can do.

32. Gus Greensmith (GBR) / Alex Gelsomino (USA) - Ford Fiesta R5
IT felt better than the time suggests. The car felt really good. It felt like the driving was really good but for some reason we lost 1.3. Not too sure.

84. Tom Cave (GBR) / James Morgan (GBR) - Hyundai i20 R5
The first stage was a bit of a wake up call with the conditions, it was very slippery. We have two spares but thats a good time.

82. David Bogie (GBR) / John Rowan (IRL) - Skoda Fabia R5
Difficult. I got off to a bad start with a spin. I had to go up the road and turn around. We were getting a lot of understeer through there and getting really untidy. I don't think the time is particularly good. I just feel like I'm going wide into all the corners and losing time because of it. Very difficult. We need to look and try to do something as if we continue like that we're not going to get on the pace.

40. Stéphane Lefebvre (FRA) / Gabin Moreau (FRA) - Citroen C3 R5
We had a rear puncture 9km or so from the finish so we tried to manage it. I don't know what happenned.

37. Jari Huttunen (FIN) / Antti Linnaketo (FIN) - Hyundai i20 R5
It's OK. We drive a bit too slow.

43. Eric Camilli (FRA) / Benjamin Veillas (FRA) - Ford Fiesta R5
I dont know, I'm lost with the tyre and the set up. I don't know which way to change the set-up.

38. Pierre-Louis Loubet (FRA) / Vincent Landais (FRA) - Hyundai i20 R5
We had a problem with a pedal.

33. Lukasz Pieniazek (POL) / Przemyslaw Mazur (POL) - Skoda Fabia R5
Still very slippy in there. We are trying to adapt to the conditions. Lets see what happens.

35. Ole Christian Veiby (NOR) / Stig Rune Skjaermoen (NOR) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's getting better and better. Getting more rhythm but we are still struggling to get a feeling but theres nice stages today. We are doing some changes at the end of the stages to get the right direction.

83. Rhys Yates (GBR) / Elliott Edmondson (GBR) - Skoda Fabia R5
We spun in the most embarrasing place you can - right in the Sweet Lamb bowl right by the bridge. It's good fun.

41. Marco Bulacia Wilkinson (BOL) / Fabian Cretu (ARG) - Skoda Fabia R5
We enjoyed that a lot, it was a beautiful stage.

42. Simone Tempestini (ROU) / Itu Sergiu (ROU) - Citroen C3 R5
I enjoyed it, it was a nice stage.

44. Chris Ingram (GBR) / Ross Whittock (GBR) - Skoda Fabia R5
We were really unlucky yesterday, so we're rebuilding a bit this morning. We're trying to get a good feeling for a push later on.

39. Nil Solans (ESP) / Marc Marti (ESP) - Ford Fiesta R5
We are improving all the time, I enjoyed that. We are making some adjustments to our notes.

85. Gaurav Gill (IND) / Glenn Macneall (AUS) - Ford Fiesta R5
It was quite slippery, we're changing set ups and making developments. We're trying.

34. Fabio Andolfi (ITA) / Simone Scattolin (ITA) - Skoda Fabia R5
Today is more slippery than yesterday. I will try to improve my driving.

81. Matt Edwards (GBR) / Darren Garrod (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
We're struggling for traction a bit. Something isn't quite right.

86. Alex Laffey (GBR) / Patrick Walsh (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
That was a much better run - tricky conditions. Today's stages are much more fun to drive.

89. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Gabriel Morales (BRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
I was dreaming for some years to make it to the end of Sweet Lamb and I did it. Unfortunatly I spun in the last corner, but we had so much fun. I prefer the stage the other way, but it was still so much fun.
