It was kind of tricky. It was really difficult in the back part to keep it going, it's quite hard in an R2.

105. Bart Lang (GBR) / Sinclair Young (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
That was absolutely buzzing, so much fun - for a rally driver to be able to go out and do that infront of the fans. Looking forward to tomorrow morning, trying to keep it on the island.

104. Alex Waterman (GBR) / Harry Thomas (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2T
It's good fun. Tricky but good fun. It's a good start of the rally. Looking forward to the stages tomorrow and Saturday especially.

I went the wrong way so I dropped about 20 seconds, but there's a long way to go.

88. Sacha Kakad (GBR) / James Aldridge (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
First time we've driven it but it was alright, yeah.

It was good, tricky in places, glad to get through it. Looking forward to the weekend.

It was good fun, nice way to start the rally, bit tricky in places. Really excited to get going now, weather may not be great but still looking forward to it

That was good fun, really loose as well so you could get some big slides through there. Looking forward to tomorrow. I think we entertained the crowd!

Difficult stage, lot slippier than I expected but happy to get through.

81. Matt Edwards (GBR) / Darren Garrod (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
That was good. Settled now, looking forward to tomorrow. Great opportunity to be trying to achieve a life long ambition in my backyard.

All OK, can't wait to get started on the proper stages tomorrow.

10. Mads Ostberg (NOR) / Torstein Eriksen (NOR) - Citroen C3 WRC
It was a short stage but still a bit tricky. We made it out and looking forward to tomorrow. The stages look amazing, especially the Saturday Stages, some of the best I have ever seen.

6. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / Sebastian Marshall (GBR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
It was an enjoyable way to start the rally, good fun. Looking forward to the Saturday stages.

2. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
All OK, quite slippery in there.

3. Teemu Suninen (FIN) / Mikko Markkula (FIN) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It was a clear run, but we finished the stage and it was OK. I really like the roads here so hoping for a good result.

4. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Anders Jaeger (NOR) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
It was OK, not perfect but good enough. Tomorrow the proper action starts.

7. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
Yeah, I really like this superspecial, I had a bit of attack.

9. Esapekka Lappi (FIN) / Janne Ferm (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
It wasn't too bad, stages like these are important for the sport for the fans to get close. Tomorrow is very technical, very narrow. Saturday is an easier day but I prefer it, it's faster and as a Finn I like fast stages.

1. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Ford Fiesta WRC
It was OK, nothing special but important not to do anything silly. An important weekend infront of us.

8. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Toyota Yaris WRC
Nice way to start the rally. Interesting day tomorrow.

5. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC
It was a good, clean run. All OK. Looking forward to the weekend stages.

31. Pontus Tidemand (SWE) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Skoda Fabia R5
It is a good start, I enjoyed this stage. It will be demanding tomorrow but I like it.

32. Gus Greensmith (GBR) / Alex Gelsomino (USA) - Ford Fiesta R5
Seems like it was fine, maybe I was a bit too sideways. Real action starts tomorrow.

34. Fabio Andolfi (ITA) / Simone Scattolin (ITA) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's a short first stage of the rally but the rally is long and we are ready.

33. Lukasz Pieniazek (POL) / Przemyslaw Mazur (POL) - Skoda Fabia R5
It was really nice. Lot of space to go flat. Everything is fine and we focus for tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the most challenging I think

35. Ole Christian Veiby (NOR) / Stig Rune Skjaermoen (NOR) - Skoda Fabia R5
It was a nice opening for the spectators, looking forward to tomorrow's stages. It will be important to make it through tomorrow.

36. Kalle Rovanperä (FIN) / Jonne Halttunen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia R5
OK, only a small stage but the feeling was quiet OK. Tomorrrow is going to be really nice.

37. Jari Huttunen (FIN) / Antti Linnaketo (FIN) - Hyundai i20 R5
It felt OK but I think we lost a bit of time. Looking forward to tomorrow.

38. Pierre-louis Loubet (FRA) / Vincent Landais (FRA) - Hyundai i20 R5
I didn't drive very well but I am ready for tomorrow.

39. Nil Solans (ESP) / Marc Marti (ESP) - Ford Fiesta R5
Not easy but I am enjoying today. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Yeah that was good. It's a tricky rally but I'll be pushing for a podium this weekend.

44. Chris Ingram (GBR) / Ross Whittock (GBR) - Skoda Fabia R5
The real rally starts tomorrow. It's a dream come true to be doing Wales Rally GB in a four-wheel-drive. The competition is so strong this weekend but we're really looking forward to it.

41. Marco Bulacia Wilkinson (BOL) / Fabian Cretu (ARG) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's a really fun stage. We forgot to turn on the lights but it's OK.

42. Simone Tempestini (ROU) / Itu Sergiu (ROU) - Citroen C3 R5

Really nice spectator stage to drive. Tomorrow will be a big challenge, its our first time in Wales but we are ready.

It is OK, first stage is very good. The rally is very difficult and slippery, but should be good.

63. Louise Cook (GBR) / Stefan Davis (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
Looking forward to it. We missed a few stages on the recce but I'm looking forward to it.

64. Tom Williams (GBR) / Phil Hall (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R2
Really good stage, happy, it was good. The jump was good. I think Friday will be the tricky day of the weekend.

It was a good way to start the rally. Long day tomorrow but we are OK. We have to learn tomorrow.

Outbraked myself a bit, couldn't find reverse. Long day tomorrow though, it's OK.

99. Scott Partridge (GBR) / Fiona Scarret (GBR) - Subaru Impreza
Looking forward to getting out into the forest tomorrow. A stage like this is important for spectators.

Brilliant, perfect. Looking forward to tomorrow.

I enjoyed that. The rally starts properly tomorrow.

Made a bit of a mess on the hairpin and missed the first junction, but it's OK.
